A racing game you read. On purpose.
Pit Wall is a text-based racing game for iPhone and iPad. No 3D cars, no arcade taps: the race unfolds through a live commentary feed, timing screens and radio messages. On iPad a small top-down track shows where everyone is, but the story is told in text. You read the race, then you call the strategy.
The race, told in text.
Overtakes, undercuts, safety cars, a driver on the radio saying the tyres are gone. You make the calls; the commentary tells you if they worked.
Why text runs deeper.
A track map shows you where a car is. Text shows you everything else: tyre curves, weather windows, stint plans, radio calls — more dynamics to read and more strategic levers to pull. If Golden Lap's minimalist race strategy clicked with you, Pit Wall leans harder into the text: the whole race unfolds through the commentary feed.
